Armintrout's West Michigan Farms Christmas trees are all Michigan grown. They are harvested late in the season after the first freeze, which hardens them off and sets dormancy. Therefore, it is extremely rare to see any trunk splitting, which can be a problem with trees from milder areas. The trees are mechanically cleaned before bailing. Also, our trees are lightly touched up the year they are harvested, instead of being heavily sheared, where one size fits all.
